Africa’s technology ecosystem is set for a major convergence as innovators, investors, and business leaders prepare to gather in Lagos for Tech Unite Africa 5.0, a pan-African tech conference scheduled for March 26, 2026.
The event, billed to hold at the Oriental Hotel, Victoria Island, will feature the Startup World Cup Nigeria, the Tech Innovation Recognition and Awards (TIRA), panel sessions, workshops, exhibitions, and a networking experience tagged Tech Unite After Dark.
Organisers said the conference aims to connect African startups with global opportunities while promoting collaboration across the continent’s growing digital economy.
A major highlight of the event is the Startup World Cup Nigeria segment, where selected startups will pitch for a chance to represent the country at the global finale in San Francisco and compete for a potential $1 million investment prize. The initiative is expected to provide participating startups with international exposure, mentorship, and access to funding networks.
The conference will also host the Tech Business Nexus Exhibition Floor, designed as a meeting point for startups, technology companies, corporates, and investors to explore innovative solutions and forge strategic partnerships that support digital transformation.
In addition, the Tech Innovation Recognition and Awards (TIRA) will recognise founders, high-growth startups, corporates, and ecosystem leaders making significant contributions to innovation across Africa. The awards ceremony is scheduled to take place during the Tech Unite After Dark segment, which combines networking with entertainment and curated industry engagements.
Speaking ahead of the event, Project Manager Jidenna Iwuno said Tech Unite Africa 5.0 is focused on linking African talent with global capital
“Tech Unite Africa 5.0 connects African brilliance to global capital while celebrating those building the future,” he said.
Chief Executive Officer, Queeneth Clinton, also noted that the event reflects the continent’s growing technological ambition.
“Every pitch, award, and connection defines Africa’s tech future — ambitious, inclusive, and unstoppable,” she said.
The organisers noted that the conference is expected to attract startup founders seeking funding and international exposure, investors scouting high-growth opportunities, corporate leaders exploring innovation-driven solutions, and professionals aiming to stay relevant in the evolving technology landscape.
